Getting Europe & UK data right.
Five languages, one schema
German, French, Dutch and Spanish product titles and attributes are captured in the original and mapped to a common structure. Accented characters and special symbols are checked in every delivery.
Unit prices as retailers show them
European grocers display price per kilo or per litre alongside the shelf price. We capture both and normalise units so the same product can be compared across countries.
GBP and EUR side by side
UK and eurozone prices are held in their own currency and can be converted to one reporting currency at a rate you choose.
GDPR in the scoping, not the small print
Data minimisation and purpose limitation are applied before collection starts. We review each source's terms and set considerate request rates.
UK GDPR and DPA 2018
UK projects are scoped against the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and ICO guidance. We collect publicly available commercial data and keep personal data out of deliveries by default.
EU GDPR
For EU sources we apply GDPR principles of purpose limitation and data minimisation at scoping, and take account of national rules and authorities such as the BfDI, CNIL, AP and AEPD. Personal fields are excluded or masked unless a documented basis exists.
How do you approach GDPR?
We collect publicly available data and design datasets around products, prices and businesses rather than people. Where a source contains personal data, it is excluded or minimised at the scoping stage. We can sign an NDA and complete your supplier due diligence.
Can you compare prices across the UK and eurozone?
Yes. We keep GBP and EUR prices as published and can add converted values at a rate and date you specify. Unit prices are normalised so pack-size differences do not distort comparisons.
Do you handle non-English sources?
Yes. German, French, Dutch and Spanish sources are collected in the original language, and we can add normalised attributes such as brand, size and category for cross-market matching.
What delivery options are available?
Common options are a REST API, cloud storage buckets, a warehouse sync or scheduled CSV, JSON, XLSX and Parquet files. SFTP and email delivery are also available.
