Alternative signals, delivered as point-in-time data.
Investors increasingly look beyond reported numbers to web-derived signals of company performance. We collect public disclosures, reference prices and operating signals such as pricing, hiring and store counts, and deliver them with timestamps suited to back-testing.
Useful signals exist on the public web, but they are messy, inconsistently timed and hard to link to listed entities. Without point-in-time records, back-tests risk look-ahead bias and results cannot be trusted.
You receive clean datasets mapped to company identifiers, with capture timestamps and no silent revisions. Research teams can test hypotheses on history and then run the same collection live.
Everything needed to run it in production.
Point-in-time capture
Every value is stored with its capture timestamp, and corrections are appended rather than overwritten.
Entity mapping
Brands, websites and subsidiaries are mapped to their listed parent and exchange ticker where available.
Public disclosures
Exchange announcements, regulatory filings and fund factsheets collected and parsed into structured fields.
Reference prices
Published commodity, fuel, fund NAV and retail price indices from public sources, normalised by unit and currency.
Operating signals
Web-derived metrics such as price levels, discount depth, job postings, store counts and app rankings per company.
Methodology documentation
Coverage, collection method and known biases documented for each dataset, supporting compliance review.

What does point-in-time mean here?
Each value is stored with the time we captured it, and any later correction is added as a new record rather than overwriting the old one. Your back-tests only see what was knowable at each date.
Can you provide historical data?
Where sources publish archives or where historical snapshots exist, we can back-fill. For many web signals, history starts when collection begins, so earlier starts give longer back-tests.
Do you handle compliance questions from our fund?
We provide methodology notes covering sources, collection methods, terms review and personal data handling. We are happy to complete reasonable due diligence questionnaires.
Is this data exclusive?
Custom datasets built to your specification can be delivered on an exclusive basis for an agreed period. Terms are set out in the project scope.
