About us
Digital shelf

Measure who owns the sponsored shelf.

Retail media has turned search results and category pages into paid inventory. We capture sponsored product slots, banners and brand units as shoppers see them, giving you share of sponsored placements by brand, keyword and position across retailers.

How it works

Four steps from sources to signal.

STEP 01

Map sponsored inventory

For each retailer we identify the sponsored formats in use: sponsored products in grid, headline banners, brand carousels, category page tiles and app home placements.

STEP 02

Capture placements by keyword and page

We run priority keywords and browse priority category pages several times a day, recording each sponsored unit, its position and the brand behind it.

STEP 03

Attribute and position-weight

Each placement is attributed to a brand and weighted by position and format, so a top-row headline banner counts for more than a lower in-grid slot.

STEP 04

Compare sponsored with organic

Sponsored share is shown next to organic rank for the same keyword, highlighting overlap and gaps in your media spend.

FAQ

Questions about retail media visibility

Can’t find your answer? Ask an engineer

Can you see how much competitors spend?

No. Spend and bids are not public. We measure the outcome that is visible, which is how often and where each brand appears in sponsored placements. Share of placements is a practical proxy for relative presence.

Do you cover mobile apps as well as websites?

Yes. Retail media placements often differ between app and web, so we capture both where the retailer has an app, and report them separately.

How does this relate to share of search?

Share of search measures all visible positions, organic and paid. Retail media visibility focuses on the sponsored units alone, by format and position, which is the view media teams need to evaluate spend.
