About us
Data type

Know when products go missing, and where.

An out-of-stock product earns nothing and pushes shoppers to a rival. We track availability signals, delivery promises and, where shown, stock counts across retailers, marketplaces and quick-commerce zones, so gaps are found and fixed quickly.

The challenge

Availability can differ by city, dark store and seller, and it changes through the day. Suppliers usually learn about stock-outs from weekly sell-out reports, long after the lost sales have happened.

With Data On Demand

You see which products are unavailable, where, and for how long. Persistent gaps can be raised with retail partners with dated evidence, and replenishment can be prioritised where the impact is highest.

What’s included

Everything needed to run it in production.

01

Availability status

In stock, low stock, out of stock and pre-order states captured as shown, with the raw label retained.

02

Stock counts where visible

Where a site shows remaining quantities or maximum basket limits, we capture the number for trend analysis.

03

Location granularity

Availability checked by store, postcode or delivery zone to reveal local gaps hidden by national averages.

04

Delivery promise

Estimated delivery dates or time windows are captured, as slower promises often precede a stock-out.

05

Out-of-stock duration

Consecutive captures are linked so you can measure how long each product has been unavailable.

06

Alerting

Rules trigger notifications when priority SKUs go out of stock in key locations.

Use cases by team

Who uses it, and for what.

Key account teams share dated out-of-stock evidence with retailers during weekly reviews. Recurring gaps at specific stores are escalated with facts rather than impressions.

FAQ

Questions about stock & availability data

Can’t find your answer? Ask an engineer

Can you see actual stock quantities?

Only where the site or app displays them, for example as 'only 3 left' or a maximum basket quantity. Otherwise we capture the availability status and delivery promise, which are reliable indicators.

How do you check availability by store or zone?

We set the location on each request, using a store selector, postcode or geo-pinned app session. Results are tagged with the location ID so you can map gaps.

How is out-of-stock duration calculated?

We link consecutive captures for each SKU and location and measure the time since it was last seen in stock. Higher refresh frequency gives more precise durations.

Can we get alerts rather than files?

Yes. Alerts can be sent by email, webhook or message to your chosen channel when priority products go out of stock in defined locations.
